Thinking on this project, it does seem fun to try to use the software effects to simulate various types of intoxicants, although as discussed in class this can be rather juvenile if there is not a reason for it, a message conveyed, or a story told. Considering the animation aspect of the project, I think it would be fun to animate objects, as the fantastic nature of these objects coming to life could hide animation inexperience by avoiding unrealistic human movements. For a story line I want to draw inspiration from the Toy Story franchise, with the idea of your belongings having a life of their own while you’re not looking. Instead of toys, however, I’d create a college version, animating my most used belongings and things around my house. The picture will begin with me tidying up my room at night before bedtime, for example folding clothes, sweeping, etc. Eventually I go to bed, and that's when madness begins to ensue. Once my things are sure the coast is clear they begin to wake up and congregate, preparing to throw a rager party. Here I’ll take creative liberty thinking of funny ways to see how these alive objects would utilize themselves to throw a party, maybe like some scenes animated film Sausage Party. For example, my iPad could collaborate with Bluetooth speaker to provide music, maybe they do this in the kitchen cabinet or refrigerator, so I don’t wake up. I could see a funny animation of a toothbrush dancing all goofy like an inflatable tube man in a mosh pit of wiggly pens and pencils. Two ironic objects could flirt and start making out, which I’ll have to brainstorm on which would be appropriate. I could see a bong getting freaked out and need medical attention when an object far too small, maybe a small figurine I have tries to take a pull and falls inside the tube. These are just some ideas I will expand on further. By the end of the night my stuff has had too much fun and are not keeping track of time. As the sum rises, they do not have time to clean up everything, and many have passed out already and are not able to return to their original spots. I wake up in the morning, and am perplexed why my room is now a complete wreck.
